NODUS is a control and monitoring system developed by 3BW for integrated operation of 3BW Load Bank model 100KW-HD, intended for scenarios where simultaneous management of large quantities of equipment is necessary. The system enables connection on a dedicated Wi-Fi network of up to 150 load banks, allowing centralized control and continuous monitoring during large-scale electrical and thermal testing operations. The connection and control module is integrated into the load bank so that, in case of communication or system failure, each equipment continues operating safely through its local panel, ensuring operational continuity of tests.
NODUS is widely applied in enterprise, colocation, and hyperscale Data Centers, especially in scenarios requiring massive tests with large quantities of load banks distributed throughout the environment. The system is ideal for Site Acceptance Test (SAT), Pre-Commissioning, Subsystem Testing (Level 3 / Level 4) operations, and as support or preparatory stage for Integrated Systems Testing (IST), when real IT load is not yet available or when it is desired to complement installed load. Through centralized control offered by NODUS, it is possible to apply and scale electrical load in a synchronized manner, simulate real IT occupancy profiles, validate phase balancing, electrical redundancy, behavior under continuous and transient load, as well as promote integrated thermal tests for evaluation of cooling systems. The system allows creation of various equipment groups and definition of programmed test routines, which can be flexibly associated with banks according to test strategy. During test execution, NODUS enables load banks to be dynamically added or removed without the need to interrupt ongoing tests, significantly increasing operational flexibility and efficiency in commissioning environments. Additionally, data recorded during tests can be exported for subsequent report preparation, facilitating technical analysis and documentation of activities performed. The ability to control up to 150 banks of 100 kW simultaneously makes NODUS especially suitable for testing in complete corridors, zones, modules, or entire Data Centers, reducing execution time and increasing test repeatability.
Read below some common questions related to our products. If your question remains, our specialists will be ready to assist you.
Yes, it is possible; however, step-down transformers will be required. The voltage will be reduced to 480V, allowing the test to be performed safely and accurately within the required parameters.
Yes, it is possible. However It is necessary to evaluate the specific characteristics, such as voltage, current, and the connection point—to identify the most effective equipment composition for the infrastructure in question.
Yes, this is a very common procedure. Nevertheless, it must be confirmed that the generators intended for testing are equipped to operate in parallel. If parallel operation is not possible, each generator will require a dedicated load bank for the duration of the test.
Yes, it is possible. However, several critical factors must be evaluated beforehand, including the total power to be tested, the specific installation site within the basement, and the overall duration of the test to ensure proper heat dissipation and safety.
Depending on the specific model, yes. Typically, our medium and large-capacity load banks are engineered for outdoor operation and are designed to function reliably even under rain conditions.
The duration of the test is determined by the specifications provided by the equipment or system manufacturer, or by the specific requirements outlined in the commissioning protocol.
Yes. Depending on the characteristics and requirements of the test performed, we can issue comprehensive technical reports documenting the results and observations.
